SEN Teacher provides cost-free teaching & learning resources for students with special needs and learning disabilities.
All the resources available or listed here are free for use in schools, colleges and at home.
- The Printables Page has a selection of printable worksheets, handouts and teaching aids most of which can be customised to suit a range of learners.
- The Links Page lists websites which have been carefully selected for the quality of their information or because they provide further excellent sources of cost-free learning resources and software.
- The Files Page lists free educational software from many sources which has proved useful to teachers and parents of special needs students.
- Search Tools are custom Google search engines which make it easier to locate free resources and information from several different SEN related areas.
Site News
March 2010:
Updated the Quick Certificate Printer and Quick Classroom Label Printer to make it easier to use, added some new borders, images and fonts. Additionally uploading of several image formats in now supported on the Quick Certificate Printer. Some printing bugs in the Place Value printable were also fixed this month.
February 2010:
Added a new and simple Custom Word Search Generator which has number of options for learners with limited literacy skills. The Picture Exchange Card Generator has been completely rewritten and is now much faster and more reliable.
January 2010:
After some disturbing news in respect of another popular teaching resources site in the UK, please note the addition of safeguarding information, beneath the privacy policy, lower on this page.
November 2009:
Added Spinner Printer which creates quickly customisable spinners for various games and activities. Fixed the display issues with News Search. Removed links to two autism sites which had been hijacked by a casino site, thanks to all who reported this.

Privacy Policy
SEN Teacher does not sell or otherwise distribute information gathered from logs and email contact. Raw logs are retained only for one month and used solely to maintain site quality. SEN Teacher does not knowingly link to or distribute adware, spyware or any other software which might compromise the privacy and security of its users.
SEN Teacher's guestbook is moderated manually and personal information such as contact details are removed from entries.
SEN Teacher makes use of Google Analytics to provide anonymised traffic data and Google Adsense for advertising. Google's filters are used to ensure inappropriate adverts do not appear on the site. Please visit the Google Privacy Centre for further information. Note that settings altered at the Google Privacy Centre apply to all your Web browsing, not just activity on this particular site. Google's and other search tools provided on this site have 'safe search' enabled.

Some printable generators allow the upload of users' own images in order that they can be resized and converted to compatible formats. The original source images are deleted immediately after processing and the temporary images created for printing are deleted at the end of the browsing session.
Safeguarding Information
The site is maintained by a former teacher now working as a freelance researcher and e-learning developer. This work is predominantly with children and vulnerable adults who have intellectual disabilities and so the author is subject to regular CRB Checks under Enhanced Disclosure.
Futher information, including copies of ECRC and/or employer references, will be provided, subject to verifiable requests from organisations such as Educational ISPs, RBC, LEA and School Districts.
