SENSwitcher is a suite of programs designed to help teach early ICT skills to people with profound and multiple learning difficulties, those who need to develop skills with assistive input devices and very young children new to computers.

SENSwitcher targets ICT skills from purely experiential through cause and effect, switch building, timed activation, targeting and row scanning.

SENSwitcher was designed as a progressive teaching and assessment tool and is accompanied by an 18 page set of teachers notes together with assessment records, developmental skills progression models and small step checklists linked to the QCA P Levels for ICT. These documents are also available FREE from the download area.

Uses Flash and is suitable for OSX, Linux and Windows.

Note: September 2017

Sadly, the Northern Grid website is no longer available - but the 2001 offline version survives in the NGfL National Archives and is pretty much the same. To use this version of SEN Switcher, unpack the zip archive and open 'Offline_Index.htm' to start the main activities menu - note that each activity opens in a new browser window and the keypress 'M' returns you to the activity menu while playing a scene.
