Rubberface is an interaction and quiz exploring facial expressions and mood. Simple 3D animations and PCS symbols are used. Learners can manipulate a number of animated faces in the interactive section.
The quiz consists of a sequence of still faces which must be graded as one of: happy, sad, scared or angry. The activity was written to support PSHE and non-verbal communication with students who had difficulty in reading faces. Graphics are far from scientific, but simpler to decode than photos and a good basis for discussion at least.
