Celestia is a very high quality and free 3D astronomy program which allows simulated flight through space and time.

Celestia may be tricky for younger students to get to grips with but it is an excellent piece of software for demonstration purposes.

The software is well documented and supported by many add-ons available for free download via the Motherlode Repository.
